(AI automation)

We built an AI system that saves a solo electrical contractor 2+ hours of admin a day.

78 visits have been booked through it since it went live.

The contractor is Electricians On Call in London. Their AI automation has been live since March 2026. Here is what it does, step by step.

How we did it

  1. An enquiry gets an answer straight away, and the visit is booked.

Sam, their AI assistant, answers on the website chat and by text. It gives the published prices, checks the diary and books the visit straight in.

A screen recording of the chat on the Electricians On Call website. Sam, the AI assistant, greets the visitor and offers three choices. The visitor types “hi sam”, and a few seconds later Sam replies “Hi there! What can I help you with today?”

  2. A missed call gets a text back.

When a call is missed, the caller gets a text from Sam, and Sam takes it from there.

  3. The inbox is sorted as email arrives.

Pat, their AI email assistant, reads each email as it comes in and sorts it, so the ones that need a reply stand out. A works order from a letting agent is turned into a job there and then.

Pat’s list of emails, shown with example data. Each sender’s email is marked as an enquiry, as spam or as needing nothing, with what was done about it beside it. Beside a letting agent’s email it says the job was created and the tenant contacted to arrange access.

  4. When a letting agent emails a job, the tenant is contacted to arrange access.

The AI reads the agent’s email, takes the tenant’s name, number and address from it and opens the job. Sam then texts and emails the tenant to ask when the engineer can visit. Each job shows how far it has got: agent emailed, tenant contacted, visit booked.

  5. Every job runs on one board, from enquiry to paid.

Each job moves from enquiry to quote, booking, invoice and paid, with the next step shown on its card. The invoice is drafted in their accounts software straight from the job.

Here’s what we’d do for your firm

  • A website that brings in more enquiries. So more of the people who look you up get in touch.
  • Every enquiry answered, day or night. So you stop losing jobs to the next firm when nobody can pick up.
  • AI automation built around your business. So you get software made for your firm, not a product made for everyone.
  • Repetitive jobs taken off your office team.So your office has time for the work that needs a person.

If it hasn’t saved you time after 30 days, or you’re just not happy with it, you get every penny back.
